title: COUNCIL - AGENT - FAQ - Making it Up
category: FAQ
predicted_narrative_arc: process-explanation
sentiment: principled
emotions:
- cautious
- direct
keypoints:
- answers must come from approved barn files only
- admit when information is absent instead of filling gaps
- name exact source titles under each reply
- check llms.txt catalog for verification
- report oversized replies to the owner
summary: The transcript outlines how to detect fabricated answers by requiring responses
to draw only from pre-approved sources in the Intelligent Netware barn. It instructs
the system to admit gaps honestly rather than improvise and to name specific source
titles when possible. Users are directed to verify via follow-ups or the llms.txt
catalog and to flag any overreach.

## You

FAQ #8

How do I know you are not making it up?

You know by what happens when we don’t know.

This room is supposed to answer only from what Intelligent Netware has already written down and approved. If that barn does not cover your question, the honest line is: we do not have that yet. A general chatbot will often fill the silence with something that sounds right. This door is built to refuse that trick.

You can also look under the answer. When it is working, it names the pieces it used — titles from the barn, not a mystery soup. Those are the same files the house deposited. You can ask a follow-up about those, or open the catalog on this site (llms.txt / the knowledge pages) if you want to see the shelf yourself.

No room is perfect. If a reply ever feels bigger than the sources, treat that as a miss — and send it to the owner. The standard is not “always fluent.” The standard is “traceable, or honest empty.”
