## You

FAQ #3

What do you actually do for a small business?

We use our own tools first. We've managed for 29 years and have scars to prove that. We help a small business be found, understood and trusted — without making the owner become their own web team, ad agency, and city planner.

Most of that work looks ordinary: a website that fits the work, or a network of local sites so the same true story can show up in more than one town. We have done that since 1997. The owner stays in charge of what is true. We supply the road, the standard, and the stay-with-you part after launch.

The part people feel, though, is this: a small business is the owner. The answers they give on the phone. The story of why they started. The three things they explain to every new client. We do not replace that person with a louder catalog. We help get those answers into a shape someone can ask, even when the owner is not in the room.

If you only put the price list online, you get a thinner brochure. If you keep the person who already carries the business, a customer can ask a real question and get this house’s answer — or an honest “we have not written that down yet.”

Talk with us about what you already explain every week. That is the work.
