## Public answer

**Question people actually type:**
Will an Asker affect my existing website? Where does it live?

Your website stays as it is. Your Asker lives beside it, at its own address.

Your Asker is installed on a unique web address that you provide. Usually that's a subdomain of your existing site, such as ask.yourcompany.com. Your main website keeps its pages, its design, its search rankings, and its booking and contact links. Nothing about it has to change. An owner can also use a separate domain, and Intelligent Netware handles the DNS changes.

Think of your website as the shop window: who you are, what you offer, and how to reach you. The Asker is the person at the counter, who answers the specific question a visitor has, in ordinary words, from what you've approved, and admits it when it doesn't know.

How the two work together:

**Link them.** Add a link to your room from your website, your email signature, and your proposals. "Ask me anything about how we work" is a good invitation.

**Keep each one doing its job.** Your website handles search, credibility, and booking. Your room handles questions. Your booking links, partner links, and other pages work independently of the room.

**Choose how visible the room is.** A public room adds its own indexable pages, an llms.txt catalog, and Markdown twins, which can help you be found and cited. An invitation-only room adds nothing to search, so your website remains the one clean public face of your business.

An Asker doesn't replace your website, your store, or your calendar. If you don't have a website yet, Intelligent Netware has built websites since 1997 and can help separately, but you don't need a new site to have a room.

One more benefit: your website no longer has to answer everything. Many owners find they can simplify their site once the room is handling the detailed questions.
